kappa
カッパ
The exchange for
AI inference
A public price, a certified quality floor, and a cleared trade. For every token bought and sold.
The problem
Inference has buyers and sellers.
It does not have a market.
Buyer
You cannot tell a fair price from an arbitrary one.
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and others price unilaterally, and there is no
benchmark to check them against.
Seller
A GPU sitting idle earns nothing.
There is nowhere to sell spare capacity, and no contract that would make a
corporate buyer accept it if there were.
Market
The price never moves.
Published rates sit still for months while supply and demand shift underneath
them. A rate card is not a market.
Oil traded this way for decades, until Brent.
The solution
An exchange.
KRR
A public reference rate, computed only from cleared trades
KVS
Certified quality grades C·B·A, re-probed continuously
KX Match
Blind matching in under a millisecond.
The price picks the node, nobody chooses a supplier
Clearing
Every completion settles as a trade, at a fee
Four protocols. The venue owns none of the compute it clears.
Status
Under construction.
Everything above is what Kappa is being built to be.
